Ren, the abbreviation for Rappresentanze Estere Nazionali (National representations for abroad), was founded in 1949 by Alberto Puliti (see photo), and a few years later had already started achieve considerable growth. It was all thanks to the geniality with which Alberto managed to develop an idea, making the services of his company available to those who wanted to export food products. The first shipment was sent by lorry to Holland with three cases of spaghetti, and from that moment on, the clientele of Ren grew and grew, along with its reputation in the sector. In 1975, the year in which the offices of Ren moved to only 20metres from the Ponte Vecchio, the Asian market, and in particular Japan, started to burgeon. These markets still represent a major part of the business of the company. In 1997 the owner and founder of Ren, Alberto Puliti, passed away, leaving everything in the hands of his son Andrea Puliti, who had always been his right hand man. Despite this great loss, Ren continued with its sales levels and with the same high quality, dealing in particular with Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and China (as well, of course, as Japan). As you may have understood, we export many types of foods, from pasta to olive oil, from balsamic vinegar to Parma ham and more. This tradition of more than half a century of selling and satisfying our customers, has gained us the trust of famous Japanese supermarket chains, who have been coming to us for years for their supplies of Italian food products. Above all, the vast experience of Ren in this field is demonstrated by the fact that it was one of the first (if not the very first) company to have dealings with two producers of Parma ham who are authorised by the Japanese health authorities to export to Japan. |
